Clarity Engineers began over a decade ago when two UCLA engineering students discovered they shared the same values: working hard, staying curious, and communicating clearly and humbly. After graduating, we built our careers at structural engineering firms across Los Angeles, gaining hands-on experience with the region’s most challenging residential and commercial projects.
Years later, after witnessing the impact of the January 2025 Los Angeles fires, we felt a renewed responsibility to the communities we call home. That moment pushed us to create a firm focused on clarity, responsiveness, and practical, real-world engineering, a firm rooted in the belief that Los Angeles deserves structures and structural engineers that make people feel safe, supported, and confident in their homes and buildings.
Today, Clarity Engineers provides structural design services throughout Southern California, supporting homeowners, contractors, architects, and developers with solutions that are safe, efficient, and tailored to local building and permitting requirements. Daryl Frigillana, PE
Daryl is a Southern California–raised structural engineer who believes great engineering should feel clear, supportive, and grounded in real‑world practicality. He has spent his career designing safe, buildable structures across Los Angeles with a focus on safety, constructability, and the everyday realities of local construction.
After earning his civil engineering degree from Cal Poly Pomona and a master’s in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from UCLA, Daryl became known for producing clean, logical, contractor‑friendly plans. His calm communication style and ability to simplify complex decisions help keep projects moving smoothly and free of surprises.
What drives him most is helping people feel confident in their homes and buildings. That belief that clarity is a form of care led him to co‑found Clarity Engineers. Today, he brings technical rigor, field‑tested experience, and genuine client empathy to every project throughout Southern California.

Soheil Kashani, PE
Soheil is a professional civil engineer specializing in structural engineering. He is known in the industry for his analytical depth, steady problem‑solving approach, and commitment to designs that are both resilient and buildable. With a strong background in seismic engineering, he brings a thoughtful and methodical mindset to projects across Los Angeles, including multifamily developments, adaptive reuse, seismic retrofits, and complex residential work.
As a double UCLA graduate in Civil Engineering and Structural and Earthquake Engineering, Soheil approaches every project with a balance of precision and practicality.
